IT Field Service Engineer

Our broad customer base comes from the SME, Tier One and Corporate sectors and we provide services on a 365/24/7 Nationwide basis.

Due to our current expansion program we are now looking for IT Field Service Engineer in the following areas:  Bristol and South West region

Job Vacancy Details:

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to £30,000 per year

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Bristol, South West

Hours: Mon-Fri 09:00 – 17:30

Work remotely: No

On-Call: To be agreed

Overtime: As and when required

Job Role:

Candidates must have a proven track record within a 24/7/365 Managed Service environment and be able to work to strict SLA’s, the suitable candidate must have good communications skills, be punctual, reliable, enthusiastic and motivated to work on their own and as part of a team.

The majority of the work will involve working on customers sites within their allocated area resolving IT related problems which include maintenance services and time and materials work.

On occasions the candidate may be required to work and assist at a designated regional office.

Each candidate must have the following as minimum experience:

1: Good engineering knowledge of all intel based systems, Servers and desktops (HP/DELL/IBM/SUN ORACLE/FUJITSU)

2: System peripheral knowledge to include (minimum), hardware diagnosis and parts replacement

Repair and servicing Disk storage solutions i.e. SAN’s, NAS, Backup appliances (NETAPP,HP,DELL,EMC,IBM,SUN ORACLE) – Replacing of disks and controllers

Repair and servicing Tape storage solutions i.e. tape libraries, autoloaders (HP,DELL,IBM,QUANTUM)

3: Printers and desktop knowledge (Laser, Inkjet, Dot Matrix)

4: Software knowledge to include (minimum):

Microsoft Server/ windows desktop (various versions)

Exchange (various versions)

5. Networking knowledge, Switches, Routers, Access Points (HP,DELL,IBM,CISCO,JUNPER)

6: Full clean driving license
